Interesting article on classic car rentals....and how it's easier to rent classic cars in less litigious countries, as far as insurance requirements go...

I always thought it would be great to have a place like that near by. Like the article says; "Everyone should have the chance to drive an E-Type". I would also add a Porsche 911. Shelby Mustang, Ferarri 250GT SWB, Duesenburg, Auburn, Cord and a Cadillac V-16. Anyone want to add to the list?

The damage waiver would cost more than the vehicle rental.

What happens when retard 'A' totals the Duesenburg? They aren't exactly replaceable.

^But, they are repairable. One user (on the board!) noted (using the example of a Ferrari Dino?) that no amount of damage to the vehicle would write it off, as long as the serial number was legible. :)

Around these parts, there's an exotic car rental location: I looked into getting a Lotus Elise, but they wanted over $5k for a damage deposit, and had a reputation for holding the money for longer than they should....

...on second thought, maybe thats not the best idea
