Yesterday I traded the sawzall miata for a classic mini project. I was wondering if there are any north American based forums that are active? I plan to use it as a street car but the car has been gutted and caged inside so I need a pair of doors that will be able to use windows. Oh yeah, it's not powered by an A series.

minimania.com comes to mind.
Awesome project!! www.classicminis.org also comes to mind. Lots of members all over and extremely helpful.

Located in the greater Hamilton area, IIRC.
Edit. Used to be in Stoney Creek, now located in beautiful Meaford. WTH , it's a nice drive up there anyway.

Any active forums? The only forum I could find was the classicminis.org and the newest post on the forum is almost a month old.

The MiniMania forum is active. I don't hardly ever go there anymore, nor do I use Mini Mania as my first choice for Mini bits, but that is the most active forum I know for Mini stuff at least on this side of the Atlantic.

Mini Mania is really all there is. There's a fairly good chunk of knowledge over there; just don't get involved in the off topic discussions. Some of those guys have some truly weird views on life and politics.
