1968 Mustang. Ordered new glass kit for the entire car. The door glass does not come with the chrome trim along the edge. They expect you to re-use the old stuff.

Have the old trim off. The problem is that there is a rubber seal of some sort that holds it in place and it does not seem to be re-usable. I cant find it sold as a separate part anywhere and it does note come with the trim kits een if I buy new chrome trim.

Anyone dealt with this? At the point where I am ready to attach with windshield adhesive in the grove and hope for the best. I love how helpful the supplier is when asked if the rubber is included.

I have heard of that. Home depot seems to sell some version of it. Might have to experiment with thickness?

Thanks.

It's been a while but I believe this is correct.  Any real auto parts store will stock it.
