I still can't believe that any CRX with 300k miles on it, even one that lived it's whole life in the desert, could be rust free. I wonder what's under the paint.

For $2,500, even with that many miles, this is a bargain. Aside from rust, the other "bugaboo" on these and other vintage Japanese cars is the plastics...they deteriorate under the constant heat and oxidation. This one says the plastics are good, and I would assume anyone who has a car that is this nice on the outside wouldn't lie about the interior.
A co-worker had a 1st gen. HF CRX back when they were new. It struck me as a sort of FWD/hardtop bugeye Sprite alternative. But then, I'm more a fan of the bigger British sports cars, like the Triumph TRs.

I didn't know there were any that clean left at all. I would not mind having it.. but I doubt it would survive long around here before being stolen and stripped
I had one, same model and year, and I'll always regret cooking it in a corner and denting the hell out of the quarter panel. I'd come get it right now, but my wife is 9 days past due and I doubt a quick road trip, even just to Chicago, would sit well.

Never seen snow always strikes me as odd. Snow is just frozen water, and in 300,000 miles I am sure it has seen rain or at least a puddle. Snow is pretty harmless.
Scraping or brushing off the snow is another story of course...
Snow= salt on roads.

Someone here in town is collecting white first generation CRXs. I keep wanting to stop by and see if I can get one. I've always liked them.
Me: "Wow, that looks like Heath's old car...oh, I guess that's because it is." That would explain the "Never seen snow" part. Sure would like to see that car come home.

This car could be as rust free as the seller states, but keep in mind these have large plastic panels that cover the rockers and lower doors. They can look great and be totally rotted out underneath. They tend to rust around the jack points in the corners between the rockers and the floor.
Yes, the floors tend to rot in the midwest. That's why I stored it all winter and only use it on nice days.
