I couldn't pass on these. The price was right and I'm a sucker for Quasars. But, they need attention. I was told blasting them is the way to go. Thoughts?

It's mostly the barrels that are bad. The spokes and hubs are rather good. I don't want to have them rechromed and Tim's video suggests this for the amount of pitting I have. I've seen good results with some of the newer chrome paints in a can. I've also seen complete motorcycle helmets done with the Molotow pens!
You'll need more than a few ounces, but how about Evapo-Rust? I used it on some chrome bike parts that had become pitted. The Evapo-Rust didn't fill the pits, but it made everything more presentable.
I LOVE Quazars. If I happened upon that set I would have already shipped them to Restoration Plating to have the chrome stripped off down to the copper coat. From there they can be sanded or sand blasted then painted.

I'm in VT. They're in Washington. Not happening. And due to environmental laws there are no chrome specialists in Vermont.
