I hit 90,000 miles and wondered if it's time to clean my injectors?   Fuel mileage is pretty steady around 20 mpg  in. 4x4 1/2 T F150 V8.  ( gets better in warmer weather.)

If so what is a good one?  Or does the regular use of E85 keep them clean enough?

I suspect you'll see recommendations for Seafoam being run through the system. I do it at intervals on my junk but I can't honestly say I've ever seen much quantifiable difference.

At only 90k I wouldn't worry

if you're doing it regularly you shouldn't unless something is putting a lot of trash in there or it sits a ton. I do a bottle through the tank every year or 15k. Through the intake every 30k.

I think you're right. I'd notice lower fuel mileage , I think.
Thanks for your input.

The only time I did it was when getting larger injectors for a swap I did years ago, and the injectors were of unknown mileage/condition.

So I sent them to a shop to be cleaned, where the flow matched them and also installed new O-rings and pintle caps. But that was 2009, no idea how much that would cost now.

I just bought one of these cheesy kits to revive some unknown condition injectors. Doesn't sound relevant to the OP though.

Whether you need to or not is a separate question, but I sent some off to https://injectorrepair.com a few months ago in what seemed like a bit of a hail mary for me.  A week or so later they came back to me ($17/ea), and while he said they were pretty good when he received them, when I reinstalled them, the engine behavior was completely changed, and all for the better.

I tried injector cleaner before this and it did precisely nothing.

My $0.02 worth.
