Bye-bye Lexus, thanks for all the parts!

The whole family is back together. I even made $20!

My challenge is the cleanup after a major project. The garage gets to be a mess with parts as they accumulate before the project, and then in the pictures below it looks like my car is vomiting parts and tools, which isn't so far from the truth. Then I clean it up and start all over again.

We're hoping to build a detached garage that can be dedicated storage for all the lawn equipment and tools, as well as a place to do my work. Then, we can actually have the novelty of parking our cars in the garage like normal folks!

Wednesday morning, the shop backslid rather badly again. I had a F250 PS explosion.

Now that it's back together, I would really like to get the rest of the shop cleaned up, so I started on it again this afternoon. After a sweeping to get up the last of the oil dry, I started digging out the lathe and mill. When not in use, they tend to gather stuff, much like any flat surface around me.

Ain't she purty. This is probably my favorite tool in the shop. Antique machine tools always seem to be elegant to me. Almost graceful.

Especially compared to this ugly lummox. This is a serviceable machine, but pretty it isn't.

I wish I hadn't read this thread. I'll be cleaning tomorrow....
