Clever street names?

My ex was visiting some city in Germany. She went out for a very long walk and got totally lost, despite the fact that she stayed on one street the whole time--the sign said "Einbahn Strasse."

Translation? One-Way Street. Oops.

We have an intersection locally of Short St and Curley Ave.

Near my house is The Lane

Small town on I-64 called Graefenberg. I can find it with my eyes closed

Oh and a suburb of Melbourne has all the names of the Grand Finalist winning Essendon Football team.

In the city where I live there's a street called The Old Rd.

The streets in my neighborhood are named after old planes. Try giving someone directions and saying turn left on Fokker Pl.

In California's centeral valley, off Paso Robles Hwy, not far from a farm waste recycling facility, "Brown Material Road."

Portland International Raceway is located on Victory Blvd.

In Mechanicsville, VA there is Zip Corvette Parts and Accessories, and they are located on Fast Lane.

I do environmental site assessments. More than once, we have had to do property on Landfill Road. Not a good omen.

Not close enough to matter. CLT is 15 minutes north.

There are a few streets named after cars in random places around Richmond - Aeronca Ave, Impala Place, Galaxie Rd.

For the jazz fans, every morning I pass the intersection of Count St. and Basie Rd.

That's local to me.

A guy here at works lives on Jaguar Lane. His little subdivision also has Lotus Lane, Maserati Lane, Alfa Romeo Road, Testarossa Trail, and Mercedes Drive.

More confusing street names in Frederick: East 4th is one way heading west for 3 blocks. Then it becomes West 4th (still one way) for 2 blocks. Then it becomes 2 way and the name changes to Dill Ave for 3 blocks. There is a very slight bend to the right and the name changes to Rosemont Ave. About 1/2 mile later the name changes again to Yellow Springs Pike.

All this happens in a mile of road that is entirely in the city limits and only has one very slight curve in the road.

Constantly stolen sign. Me and some high school buddies drove by one night and it had just been replaced. We went to snag it and there was some sort of alarm system on it. We left it alone.

Here in Palm Coast, all of the neighborhoods are arranged by letter. Each neighborhood has streets that all start with the same letter, although there's no actual alphabetical pattern to the arrangement of the city, or to the streets within each neighborhood.

We're in the "S" section, on Secretary Trail. There used to be a street nearby called Seaman Trail, but the residents complained that it made them feel awkward whenever they had to give their address to someone on the phone. The residents of Squawbush Trail have also complained, and they're probably next in line for new street signs.

I used to go out there regularly. Did a lot of work in the subdivisions near there. Sad to here that plant is closed.
