This is for our 2007 Mazda3 hatch, 111k miles, original clutch.
It has recently started chattering, but only when in reverse. Starting in first or second, it is fine. No slippage noted in any forward gear.
Thoughts on what it is, aside from the clutch just starting to wear out? I'm inclined to just deal with it for now, until it starts to chatter going forward, and then change it.
I thought we just had a similar thread on this? Anyway, my '65 Ford pickup had he same problem. I checked u-joints, linkage, spring bushings...a new clutch fixed it.

We did, it was the clutch
