There have been worse ideas. I could see using one of those as a prefilter in dusty conditions. I just don't see a Cordoba as a rallycrosser.

As a former Cordoba Owner, I can tell you that nothing, I mean nothing, will kill a Cordoba. Mine suffered a major electrical fire under the hood that was extinguished with saltwater and sand. Still ran fine. The leaf spring mounts rusted through the trunk. It was riding on the bump stops, but I noticed no discernable difference in handling. The transmission ran dry once. Filled it with fluid, and it just kept going. Even served as a parade float once, with the float structure drywall-screwed to the body panels. Meh. Didn't phase it. I am convinced it broke the crusher and had to be buried.
