coming from the Nissan world, I'd fully agree. Japanese carmakers are dropping the ball on style. At least the baseline marques, since INfiniti and Lexus are still nice looking.

But Nissan...the Juke, Cube, new Sentra, new Maxima...all hideous.

Toyota....nothing stands out, but all of them are unattractive.

Honda....civics look the same as ever, the new accord outback-wagon-thingy is disgusting. And no s2000 in the lineup anymore to bring it up.

A few highs: - Nissan = Infiniti - the new G37 is hot - Toyota = Lexus - most of the lineup looks good - Honda = Acura - the new TSX sportwagon is beautiful...

Maybe Subaru needs an "upmarket" label that they can make pretty cars for, since that seems to be the trend with the Japs...

The Subie's aren't that bad since they dropped the 'pig nose'. About the current crop of 'cubes': that KIA ad with the hamsters making fun of the 'toaster' (Scion) and the 'washing machine' (Cube) never fails to crack me up. Having said that the '11 STi looks good from the front, but the sides.... chrissakes, who let THAT get past marketing? The whole 'weird fender flare' thing was shown to be hideous on the Xterra and that screwy looking Mitsubishi Montero Sport? with the high curved front fenders, can't find a pic of it.

The Vehicross looks like a snake face from the front (fangs and the headlight shape). It's startling at first, but I've always liked them. Make mine yellow, please.

Because we all have opinions and we're not afraid to share them.

I agree that it is ugly, but it is totally acceptable because it is part of Subaru's design legacy. Consider their signature exhaust note. It is like a symphony of flatulence; nice to listen to not because it is music, but because it is impressive.

False, the bugeye neither looks like a neon or is ugly.

I live in a state that doesn't utilize front plates, thus they remain ugly in spite of any engineered space for one. It's okay for us to disagree on this point though. I still wouldn't buy one, since they are complete and utter nightmares once they are out of warranty anyhow.

I disagree. Around here we don't have any front license plate and so many buyers put fake Euro plates on the newer Audis. It looks like a bandaid at best and a dirty sanchez at worst. If I bought a trout pout Audi, the first thing I would do would be to get the black strip color-matched to the main bodywork, and that would only be so I could tolerate it while walking up to it before I got in. That gaping overscaled maw just sucks. It's not just Audi that has lost all sense of reasonable proportion, either.

I wonder if in Europe the people who drive Fords or GM products go out and get fake US license plates.....or are we the only country lame enough to do something like that?
