Not sure which set of R-comp tires is right for you? Luckily, we just finished comparing the Hoosier R7, Yokohama Advan A055 and the Goodyear Eagle RS.
The results? We’ll be publishing those on Monday, September 26, as a GRM+ exclusive–so subscribe to GRM+ now if you want to be among the first to see the results for yourself.

And there's a bonus in this test: R-comp vs. 200tw.
I love me some tire tests.
Maybe it'd be more subjective than scientific, but you should do one where you do the same tire on different kinds of cars. Like a civic (FWD), miata (low power RWD), and corvette. See how the same tire reacts to different drive lines and weights.

You'll see some of that in this next test but I do hear you. Maybe there's a future test in there centered more about that idea.
Not that I have a civic and a corvette that I need to compare tires for. :)
I just like reading your tire testing articles.
Thanks GRM. You all are worth every penny solely for tire tests... Especially when one set of tires last me almost two seasons!

Another factor that would be of interest is degradation over a full 15-20 minute session. Primarily the delta (if any) between R comps and the current hotness 200TWs.
Still no Hankook Z214?? Y'all are aware that they exist, aren't you?
In reply to jbrauer11 :
Their singular distributor model is a problem for them with regards to exposure (and quite honestly support).
In reply to Captdownshift (Forum Supporter) :
Goodyear is better? Last I checked it was Shelby alone, has that changed?

You'll see that this time, too. Especially that last sentence. Was pretty enlightening.
Also note that the "Consistency" column in the tire chart is all about performance over a full session.
Kind of surprised I can't see this as a subscriber to the print magazine (but not GRM+). Should I cancel my subscription?
