Being stuck at home doesn’t mean a stop to interaction. Coming Saturday, April 11: Jacksonville Cars & Coffee Driveway Edition.
What’s that all about? Just post a photo of your car to the group’s Facebook page this Saturday morning.
But there is a catch: A prop to be included in that photo will be announced at 9 a.m. on Friday, April …

And guess this means a car's coming out of the garage this weekend.
'bout time.
I guess this also means that I need to up by noon on Saturday.
Just wash the wagon and you're set!

We can probably do that, too.
I am working Saturday. Will you guys post the prop on here so I can take the picture Friday?
This is a rad idea. Do we have to use Facebook?
I quit the "book of faces" years ago. Is there any other way to play?
I don't think I've logged onto facebook in years, but I may have to just to submit a photo for fun.
Cool to see the interest. I don't think it would count as an official entry, but you could post photos here as well.

I'm still interested in this idea. I'll try to participate if I have the item in question
I may have stolen this awesome idea for my old college car club. What a fantastic idea!
This is as cool idea. With the weather getting warmer, I miss those early morning cars and coffee meets.

How about this for a hint: less exotic than a basketball.
And the prop for tomorrow's virtual Jacksonville Cars & Coffee has been announced.
From their Facebook page:
Details:
Entrants must post photos of their vehicle(s) with a coffee cup/mug/thermos in clear view. Photos without the prop will not be judged or qualify to win. The reason we are doing it this is to try to keep folks from posting glamour shots of someone else's car that they found on Google. You may post more than one vehicle and in more than one category, but only ONE PHOTO PER VEHICLE PLEASE. Pick your favorite shot! If you do not have a driveway or do not want to include the background, close up shots are absolutely fine. An engine bay, a wheel or grille. No problem. Creativity is key, but entrants must own the car and take the photograph (a family member/friend may also take the photo but make sure you let us know who took the photo so we can give them credit if we share the image). No gathering please, just you and your car and a family member if need be.
Getting them all washed up for the car show. Yes I do have an affinity for early-2000s car styling.

folks who have facebook could do it there and here, while folks without could do it here?
Yes, you can post photos here. We'll make it a subclass.
How about this: If we get at least 7 entries here on the site, I'll find a special prize for that special someone.

OK, I'll post my pictures here, too. These are ones I took today for the Cars and Coffee page before I realized it would be limited to a single photos. This photo was my official entry.
Gertrude really likes the car. (...and yes, I took her for a drive around the block because she was so expectant.)
Other pics
....and I don't have the #WeldPorn skills that some of you guys do, but I was not displeased with this base for a turn signal housing
Last pic: the window sheet I have used at some car shows
I'm getting ready, not my official photo yet, but out in the sun again, getting ready for tomorrow.

Love that color of red. Very pretty car.
Fred, with his Saturday morning democrat and coffee on his way to the first "GRM internet cars and coffee".
Thanks David for creating a diversion from reality.
Not the best but it will do.
Here are the rest of the shots I took, including the ones without the required item, oops.
Got the BMW out of the garage. Nice day out.
