Sorry for the terrible alliteration .
My ebay recommended I check this out. Very unusual and pretty cool, but also quite a lot of money, for what it is.
Trabant Wagon
I've never seen one in wagon form before, and it's probably awful to drive, but I would most definitely rock that as a DD/(small) parts hauler.
I've seen that very car before in person - the seller is local to me, and had a company for a time that imported Trabants to the US. He brought it to a couple of the local German car shows, It appeared to be in pretty good condition.
I would want to be in a wreck in one the body is compressed cardboard covered with plastic.

I thought the bodies were made of cotton.
Any rate, I remember my teacher in middle school explaining how the acid rain would eat holes in them.
The whole time I was reading the description, I had the sound of Jeremy Clarkson bad-mouthing the Trabant in my head, when he tested and raced one in that episode of TG.
sounds like a star trek epidsode.. "the trouble with trabbies"
Luke, I know it's unlikely and this is a thread jack but you are welcome to join me at Gainesville if you can get there.

Thanks a lot for the invite, Steve. Means a lot. But I won't be able to make it this year. Maybe the next? It's definitely on the cards. As a GRM dork, it's pretty much mandatory .
It is mandatory and you will always have an Aussie connection should you be able to make your way over.
