Looking through the local listings for slushbox verts (SWMBO is not too enthusiastic about learning to drive a manual) I came across this head-scratcher:
1986 Fiero Convertible

Though I've thought that they'd make nice convertibles, I never knew anyone had actually made any. I have to wonder if the tops were custom made for them, or were they adapted from another similar-dimensioned car?
It appears ASC built one prototype for GM, the rest of the convertible Fieros are from several different kits. http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/090732.html
Here's one that looks the same advertised as "using a California Convertible Company kit"

Some of those are actually really sharp, kind of like a budget Mondial, if that makes sense.
I've seen several of those. They're quite well done.
