There is no sacrilege in the automotive world, only awesome that pisses small-minded people off.

Also, my dream project is a black 1g SL2 with a Honda F20C in it, RWD. How's that for sacrilege

Not as bad as you'd think, considering Honda once supplied motors to Saturn.

If only it was that simple... time and money, time and money. I've got a rather hefty personal project that I'm holding myself to before I get to do anything with the Mustang (or the Merkur much either) for the time being. When that is out of the way, I will be able to spend the time (and some money) with less guilt and hassle. In fact, I'm taking a moment away from that project to post this because rendering time is taking too long... I hate code.

True, the 3.5 V6 in the Vue, but those aren't really Saturns

You, my friend, are evil! But unfortunately they've gotta be the "big" 5 on 5.5" pattern I think. But boy oh boy, that's exactly the kinda thing I'm on the lookout for.

I'm a hotrodder by trade and in my heart. I have no problems taking a one-of-a-kind rare priceless treasure and hacking the E36 M3 out of it. So for a nice classic (but not overly rare) 'stang, I say hack away.

I have a 67 Lemans (because I can't afford a GTO) that is getting the same exact road race treatment with an LS6, T56, and other goodies.

I love your design, love the look, love the everything. Drop in a 5.4 with a turbo and kick some butt.

I think the sacrilege is not doing what you want to your own car. Make it what you want. Heck, I'm putting a Duramax in a 66 Bonneville and I don't care what all those "keep it Poncho" folks say. Its my car dammit.

Cooledge.... +1 for deeper dish wheels ... not a fan of rubberband sidewalls so keep the sidewalls ala 70's trans am race cars. +1 for side dump exhaust pipes... again 70's trans am theme. I guess im a fan of 70's trans am race cars or any road race cars of that era. Oh then drop in a ferrari v12 pls.

Giant diameters with short sidewalls don't work for me either, and 15x7s with some 235/60s in fronth and 15x9s with 275/50s in back would give it a nice look I think. That said, 15s that big are becoming a bit tougher to find these days. Geez, I maybe stuck using 17" just to get decent selection at a reasonable price. How sad.

Troll around for Torque Thrust 2's in those 15" sizes. Everybody bought those damn wheels for about 5-10 years, and now they are all upgrading to the 17" version. Powdercoat them Gunmetal Metallic (lip included) and rock it hardcore.

Oh, and don't forget the Trans Am racer side exhaust dumps.

15x10 with 295/50 rears? 15x8 245/60 front?

I know the 295s look super awesome

Might take more time to find alloys that size but you can find steelies all day long.

Too tall for your application but I was running 15x8 225/70 and 15x10 275/60 on my chevy van. For a while I had 255/60 on the front but I felt it was just a little too wide for the rim.
