They do work well for thin sheet, but leave a whole lot of moon shaped sharp as heck shrapnel all over the place. I usually find them when they get inside my shoes and dig into my socks. They make versions that run directly from an air line and do not have to be attached to a drill motor. In fact there is very likely an electric version too.

For complicated , thin, non-straight cuts they can be the right tool. There are better tools that do the straight/thick stuff better.

Yeah, the first thing i thought when watching the vid was that they were intentionally showing the other tools being used poorly to make them look difficult. Nibblers are awesome when you need them and usually not awesome when you don't. And yes there are all sorts of electric ones.

This guy here?

I've had one for a decade or more. It comes in handy now and then. Definitely not the go to sheet metal tool though

I used several at the plant where I used to work, but I used them to cut samples from 1/8" - 1/3" thick metal for quality control. We had some for lighter gauge metal. They work okay, but it depends on the gauge and temper of the metal.

I have one of those and also a hand operated version.  Don't use them very often but very handy when needed.
