Anyone got a link to a "magic" coolant hose "T" fitting that you swear by?
I have a plastic one right now with a BIG sharp lip on each end, and it worked well, but it tears up the hoses pretty badly, and i'm thinking i may have cracked it this morning tightening everything back up after i blew a coolant hose off of it. The fact that a hose came off of it tells me that it's bit the dust.
I have used copper tubing to Tee heater hoses. I just sweat barbed fittings on it.
If you are talking the larger main hose - I suppose this would still work with 1 1/4 or 2".

make one out of brass fittings from (INSERT BIG BOX STORE HERE). I'm running a 2" homemade T coupler for coolant bypass on the XR4, a little teflon tape, screw together (use barb fittings as the outlets) and voila, works great, cheap, will last forever...
never needed one on the BMW or saab.. the fiat on the other hand... the head is higher than the radiator.. makes for fun trying to bleed it.
As for plastic T fittings.. I never trusted them. They just look too fragile to me

I bought a vacuum coolant filler and used it when I changed the TB on the TDI. I was amazed at how well it worked.
I was wondering if a brass or copper T-fitting would work after adding a clamping nub-ring.
