Shouldn't surprise anyone, when the C8 first came out it was mentioned that the frame was designed with a battery pack in mind. This could have stupendoulsy quick acceleration with the front wheels getting in on the action.
I like the fact that the scoop is "it looks the same, but check out this cool logo!"
I personally, refuse to believe any of these "leaks" aren't just another marketing gimmick.

A lot of them are fabricated to get clicks, too. At the ND Miata release, the head designer put all the "scoop!" renderings up on a screen and essentially pointed and laughed. Mazda doesn't really leak, so any "next Miata!!!1!!" articles you see are basically garbage.
Looks like the ZO6 body work rather than standard C8 for whatever that's worth.

I'd have to agree notice every new vehicle or model for any car has this leaked headlines
UPDATE: eRay details are out and it looks awesome! I wish I had an extra $110,000 laying around.
I wish these unimaginative developers would come up with better naming ideas beyond "Stick a bold E somewhere in there."

Yeah, but that's not obviously a Corvette. It could be a Hummer, or CUV, or the newest Bolt. E-Ray is a pretty clear connection to the Stingray branding, and it rolls off the tongue fairly well. I agree that e-(thing) is the new i-(thing) and this laziness has been around for a while, but this is a decent example of one.
Holy mackerel! That's one very impressive feat of engineering. Chevy is on quite a tear lately. The sound is so unique; Millennium Falcon in front, '70 Vette in the back. I love it.
