Anyone else going this weekend? I'd like to say hi to any forum members that may be there.
Busy motor swapping this weekend but Sunday they are doing some carting out there.
Don't know how good it would be to run the track that slow but it sold out instantly.
In reply to bmw88rider:
The Vettes are supposed to do some parade laps Sunday morning. I wonder if they'll let em' run faster than the carts
assuming Circuit of the Americas, in Austin, TX. I need to make the time to drive that track, considering it's only 45 mins away. Where is everyone finding track days there?
Yea, Circuit Of The Americas.
It's been a while since I've done anything car related. So it was nice to spend the day, even if it was just a car show.
Lot's of C5,6 and 7 Z06s. Some nice C1 and C2s.
I'm a C3 guy and found a couple that were worth taking pictures of.
This one has a tube frame chassis and was a super clean build.

This one just looked right with the widened body, shame it wasn't a big block IMO.
This C5 looked very nice with the widened rear and subtle body mods.
There was some money being thrown around out on the track.
It's hard to see but that little red blob above is a Ferrari FF.
Tomorrow we get to go out on track.
In response to Calteg:
Chin runs a couple a year and then there is usually a few of the marque specific clubs like the corvette, porsche, and BMW. I can probably get a complete schedule if you really want one from a friend in the track ops org. out there.
You know, the funny thing is for all of the time I've been out there, the fastest thing I've ever had out on the track is my Xterra
Nick,
I'll have to find the pictures of my uncle's C3. He has 2 1974 vettes. A black convertible and a Red 572 BB with side pipes. He is a little bit of a rubber bumper C3 fan.
I learned today that the orange C3 above won best in show.
Pics of waiting to go out on track. Video to follow.
