Could use some advise- violent front shake above 60 when on the brakes

The car is a 535xi BMW wagon with M5 front brakes. I have recently done a rotor and pad change with OEM as well as all the usual problematic bushings. The struts have 117k on them.

The car stops fine at speeds below 55 anything above that and the steering wheel shakes violently (while on the brakes) until it drops below 55 again. Very strange. My only go to I can come up with is to take the rotors off and have them resurfaced (although they have less than 300 miles on the). I did a proper break-in procedure, or at least I though I did. 

I was thinking about just taking apart my brake job and start over, with the rotors surfaced again.

That sounds like tension strut bushings or terribly uneven pad transfer on rotors. I'd start with a nut and bolt check on all suspension fasteners.

That really sounds like those thrust arm bushings. My M5 had the same problem and it went away with new bushings. I'd double-check the job - IIRC, they're directional.

A caliper piston might be getting hung up and not retracting. Investigate that after you check the bushings.
