I'm pretty sure that most of the plastic on my Honda scooter is ABS plastic. It's white under the paint. A few pieces are cracked. Would I be better off using Krazy Glue or JB Weld?

Big Red part below is cracked on the inner corners.

Acetone.  Let it soften, weld the cracks together, give it a day or two to outgas.

best repair is epoxy and fiberglass cloth on backside of cracked part.  Fill crack with epoxy, and reinforce with 5 to 10 oz fiberglass cloth and epoxy on backside.  Sand backside so epoxy and cloth have a rough surface to adhere to.

Even better, use a rasp to powder some ABS pipe. Melt it in acetone to make a paste. Use fibreglass mesh (like for plaster repair) for structural reinforcement if needed. Worked a treat on my CRX fenders.

Or use the black abs pipe glue you can get at any big box store?

I’ve done this on multiple bikes with great success.

I just learned about the Krazy Glue and baking sofa solution for crack repair. Wondering if it would work in this instance.

My concern is that this will crack. IME, the glue dries very hard and brittle, and will be the only spot on the part that won't be able to flex.

ABS is not porous so super glue is not a win. This includes epoxy, JB Weld, fiberglass, etc.

You need a solvent type glue to melt the plastic to make a good bond.

It's a bit more of a monetary commitment, but I've repaired a few bumpers with the JB Weld plastic epoxy that they sell at your FLAPS.. I think it's $10 or $12, but it dries slightly flexible just like the original material. I've even lighly curbed repaired Miata bumpers when parking after repairing them and it held.
