So I'm shopping for some crash bolts for the front of the former WC Challenge Mirage. Rockauto lists a "single offset" and a "double offset" crash bolt for this car.

The single offset is good for an additional 1 3/4 degrees of negative camber.

The double offset is good for an additional 1 1/4 degrees of negative camber.

From the photos the double offset appears to have a larger shank surface than the single offset bolts. Other than that I can't see the difference.

Bottom line, which would you trust your safety to at a track day?

I have a hard time using anything but OEM crash bolts (or a similarly sized grade 8 standard size replacement) on anything Ive had the ones Ive gotten from NAPA slipped as have ones from Rock Auto (probably the same) Mopar bolts have yet to slip when torqued correctly.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look into the OEM bolts.

Of course there's always the fact that racing with any parts with crash in the name sure seems to be tempting fate.
