How about we just all band together to finish tuna's truck?
This is the best idea here.
I can't tell if I should be honored or just hurry up. Thanks.
Honored.
I will volunteer doing the engine. I can paint it, tune it, and find some cool speed parts for it. Depending on tuna's preferences, I can probably do the engine bay itself, too (paint, wiring clean up, etc).
You're too much, man - I am blushing. You guys area already the reason I am actually getting it done at all. I have to resist the 'hanging out with Tunawife' evenings that have been calling and get out there again soon. That fender is almost done!

I'm down here in Texas so I can help find bits and pieces that aren't rusty. I even drive up your way a couple of times a year so I could drop them off. What do you need?
Maybe we should actually do this?
Time for a new thread/breakaway (JoeyM)?
Yeah I like the direction you guys are taking the actual finish someone's project remotely. Thats cool.
I wish I could stop by to help on the actual work, but short of that, it would bring me great joy to track down and deliver needed parts. Hell, I'd love to send out a package of flap disks and safety glasses.

I like the idea of a street legal rwd motorcycle powered kit car.
I suppose the same thing could be done with a 13B rotary.
I'm always down for helping a brother out on the forum. If that means searching my local craigslist for parts, cleaning them up and sending them cross country, I'm cool with that.
I still think it would be fun to meet up with people and build a challenge car in the parking lot...

How about a 150% size kart with suspension using a 600cc sport bike powertrain?
Last night I realized I described a FSAE car. Nothing wrong with that.

I had another thought: riffing off the Factory Five model of a single-source donor kit car, how about a next-generation Formula Vee? Single donor race car. Probably with fenders for safety and a wider range of body types fit in it. Establish a spec series for it, too.
Just dreamin'.

I suggest a reverse trike with actual engineering, since we have already started crowdsource building one. Something like T-rex meets locost. I could probably draw up the frame in CAD.
Hmmmmm.... what about... one part Dwarf, or Legend car body... designed to run a Prius drivetrain in rwd format......

I've thought about that a bit too.
The other Idea I'd love to persue is something like a modern FormulaVee
What about a Tube Frame Midget with a motorcycle engine?
Oh... Wait...
