Crown Vic/P71 guys, what do we like for center consoles? Brothers birthday is coming up,and we decided on a console for his 09 P71. It was stripped of its police gear, and I'm not sure if any brackets were left behind. They are in the middle of nowhere in Montana, so junkyelard scores are out.
We are looking at new. I've seen Rampage and Smithybuilt Jeep consoles come up in conversation on Crown Vic .net. We are looking at $80-$120 ish. Would like a padded armrest and have it in black.

Didn't Mercury Marauders have consoles? Maybe some sort of Pick & Pull in your area?
If nonack doesn't respond in this thread, I'd send him a message!
Mauraders and certain sport package crown vics had center consoles factory
No junkyards within 120 miles of Colstrip, and 1,200 miles of bulky console shipping will be brutal for a used piece if I find something, so that's why we are looking at new.
I think Marauders had a floor shifter, so that might not work anyway.
I'd suggest a whole front seat from a Town Car with flip-down console in the split bench, but that won't fit your situation either.
Marauders and Sport Crown Vic's both had console shifters so unless you were going to convert the car probably not as much useable storage as a universal console like you would get for a Jeep. We put a cheap one from Quadratech in my daughters P71 It was less than a 100 bucks shipped. Something alot like this one but you would need to check the measurments on the car.

In reply to Papabear :
Those are very similar to the ones I mentioned. I did look at Quadratec as well. Youngest bro is getting me measurements today. I'll feel better buying a universal rig, rather than guessing.
In reply to Appleseed :
Looking at them I want to say it was a Smithybuilt that we got. It looks the closest to what we used. It's been a couple years so it's not fresh in my mind.
Ford Explorers consoles are popular with the Crown vic crowd.
Apparently (meaning, "it's in my files, copied from a Reddit post that Former Me didn't bother to properly record") a Lincoln Town Car front middle "jump seat" thing installs without difficulty and offers much better cupholders as a bonus.
The same post says that the Rampage 31515 for a 1976-1983 Jeep CJ5 fits perfectly even if Amazon says it won't.
