Found an 89 crx for sale for $2000. Car been sitting for awhile but supposedly will run for a minute.. minor body damage but interior is very much on rough side.
Does anyone know if interior pieces are easy to source? Not necessarily looking for mint but it definitely needs a lot.

$2K for a '89 not so running CRX = run away imo.
Could be worse, could be an 88 (CORRECTION, 87). The 89 has decent support and there should be a pretty strong community behind that chassis.

In reply to Keith Tanner :
'88 is the same generation as '89- pretty much the same car.
'84-'87 are 1 gen, '88-'91 2nd gen.
$2000 is not a bad price considering how popular they are getting /staying. They aren't going down in value. Strong buy - fantastic, fun cars.
Interior pieces are JY sourced & eBay. Some interior pieces are same as Civic. If it's an si or hf even better. I bought a few cheap in years past because of the corroded solder joints on the fuel pump relay, common issue & 15 minutes to fix.

Normally I wouldn't touch a non running car for $2000 but given how these are getting scarce on the ground I'm thinking it'll be good investment
The wishbone Honda tax keeps going up.

My bad, I got the generation change wrong.
That reminds me, there's another first gen with a blue interior getting parted out. I need to check my interior for needs :)
Yeah, big different with '88 vs. '89-'91 involves the doors and rear control arms. On my last '88, I just wound up swapping to '89-'91 lower control arms so I had more options regarding rear shocks. It's a very easy swap.
Cracks around the HVAC controls are common and good replacements are very expensive. Everything still works though, even if it's broken.

Send me PM what you need. I have a few minty Hondas in my warehouse and I am always hoarding parts for them.
Probably depends on which interior pieces you want to replace, and how close to stock you really want it.
Which pieces are you worried about?
Guy finally emailed more pics. Not sure if worth proceeding at this point..
Side note; why the eff I can't upload 4 pics at once on my phone!?!?
In reply to David S. Wallens :
I would never go $2k, figured 15ish cash, but I'm now thinking $1000 tops
Wowza. And no pics of the rear wheel arches, we know how that goes.
Sorry guys didn't want to waste y'all's time, I'm not going to persue this. I need another cheap fun car but this isn't it!
Looks like thirty two years of rode hard and put up wet.

Sadly, yeah, that's not the droid you're looking for. But there's still plenty of cool cars out there.
$200 yes....$2000 NFW The 89 on the dash looks like it could be a crime scene evidence marker with as bad as that thing is.
