@californiamilleghia. add up the advertised or magazine tested top speed; Honda 90 magazine test 54 mph & for my F500 I used 135mph because I know that is what that chassis will do. For the Datsun, which is heavily modified, I used 111 mph because that's what it's done.

Let's see. Moby the road condo can do 85. Brabus crack is ecu limited to 198. Humpty the Rallykar can hit 120, just. Her C class is good for 130 I'm sure. Leroy the Recalcitrant Pickup might go 75 on a good day. The old Xtype Jag? Hell I dunno. Maybe 120. I'm thinkin the avg top speed here ain't all that impressive.

I'm thinking you're right. I'm also thinking gearing is limiting a lot of cars here.
2015 Toyota Land Cruiser = 118
1995 Dodge Viper = 165
2016 Kia Optima (2.4 NT) = 130
The Kia is mind boggling. Some loons on the internet post it at 152 or something which is even more nutty.
2003 Acura TL Type S 153 mph
2004 Mazdaspeed Miata 127 mph
380 total. I need more cars.
1987 BMW 325is 142
1997 BMW M3 155
2004 BMW M3 155
2006 Honda S2000 149
2014 BMW 328xd 140
2017 BMW M4 155
2000 Yamaha R1 168
2017 BMW RnineT 124
Total 1188 mph
Average 149 mph
I didn't realize we were doing realized top speeds too. Well...
koup 115
tubey 120 ..... that last 5 took way longer than I hoped.
sierra 98. Literally you can through a brick on the gas pedal. It'll hit 98 in 3rd, shifts to 4th and locks the converter at 2600rpms. Stupid one piece driveshaft.
mower 7. Every time I use it
c10 has seen 105. Once. Connestoga wagon suspension is super sketch above 100. So not recommend.
sommy math has me at 445 realized?
I am the biggest looser I guess:
Rover @90
Rabbit mini stock second gear at 7500 is around 70 so say 100 in fourth for a minute?
Fossil- 65 until the engine swap.
255ish.
This looks to me like whoever has the most running cars wins.

Here are the rules:
All the vehicles must be currently running (your 17 project cars do not count as they have a 0 mph top speed)
All vehicle must be at least part owned and residing with you (spouse's car and LeMons cars)
Be capable of transporting one human being (your kids electric toy car counts but your 35 RC cars do not)
Must be wheel driven and powered by an Internal/external combustion engine and/or electric motor (your gas powered unicycle counts but your Piper Cherokee does not)
In the event of a tie it will be how much of the combined top speed you've actually used.
Mine. 62 Honda 90, 73 Datsun 1200, 87 Novakar F500, 90 Ford E250, 2005 Imprezza 2.5 RS, 2010 BRM Kart, 2010 Santa Fe, 2011 Beta 520RS, 2011 Outback. Combined top speed 922 MPH. Actual use 750 mph.
Volvo is governed to 158mph (people have hit 161 on GPS)
RX-7 has seen 104mph in the quarter mile. It is not exactly stable over about 60-70 so let's put an upper limit of 104 there. It probably has the power to do 150 but the driveshaft speed would be absolutely frightening even as a mental exercise....
The other RX-7 has a theoretical top speed of 120. I have had it up to about 90, so let's use that as a figure.
352? Just like an old Ford.
Hmm. Never been north of 110 mph in any of my cars. That said:
Ford Probe - 132 mph according to wikipedia
Lincoln Town Car - 112 according to some website
Mercury Cougar - can't find data. let's assume around 120 mph.
Ford Focus - technically it runs, as long as the battery is charged by external sources, because the alternator berked itself. alleged top speed, 106.3 mph. seems about right given the short gearing and no overdrive.
Ford Escort - box of neutrals = top speed of 0 mph.
total = 470.3 mph. that should get me a class record at the salt flats! (assuming there's a class for "5 hoopties all chained together to reach their theoretical combined speed, which makes no sense and ignores all the laws of physics")
'90 Ramcharger with a bad transmission- 70 before it starts throwing parts.
'04 Escape- ???
'13 Odyssey-???
meh. 70 it is. Recon kid drives the escape, and MrsRecon does not take kindly to hotrodding the family toaster.

This is why I can't compete. I can't even be bothered to figure out which of my vehicles run right now.
Ram 1500 - 105mph (electronically limited)
Forte Koup - 110mph (best guess?)
Pretty low average of 107.5mpg

In reply to Tom1200 :
Just bought a Focus SE last night, that should easily surpass the 2000 barrier.
C&D Estimates my car's top speed as 145. So my total is 145.
My current "fleet", if you could call it that...
1993 Dodge Dakota 4x4, 3.9 Magnum, 5 speed... Verified a floaty 105 at the top of 4th gear. Shifting to 5th slowed it down from lack of power.
1993 Mercedes 400E, 4.2 V8, Auto trans... Car and Driver measured 149 when new. I've got to 115 before I had to get on the brakes.
1981 Mercedes 300D with a Ford 302, T5 trans... Gearing calculator gives a laughable 185 at 6000 rpm in top gear. It's done 96 in the 1/4 mile, and at 120, it's still pulling pretty good. Let's call this one 135 ish.
1980 Wheel Horse C-80 with a 13hp Predator swap... 10 mph...
EST. Top Speed - 399
Verified - 350
I need more cars, I'd say! As has been said looks like a case of "He who has the most toys wins" What toys to get next...
2015 S4 - Limited 155 mph
2015 allroad - Limited 133 mph
1997 Miata - 120ish mph
John Deere LA105 - 5.5 mph
Total = 413.5 mph
Funny thing is the only one I've had over 100 mph is the Miata. Only one to actual top speed is the Deere. LOL
2007 Escalade ESV - Speed limiter at 106 I think
2008 9-3 SportCombi 2.0T/6spd - Speed limiter at 132
1985 900S 2.0 8v/5spd - 110ish after... a while.
1991 900SE 2.0T/5spd - 135
1987 C10 350/TH400 - 105ish? It is trying really hard at high speed thanks to gearing and no OD.
1972 95V4 1.7/4spd - 100. I did this in my last one, but I've been nicer to this car.
1993 RX-7 R1 - 160
2004 Mini Cooper S - 138
Scag Tiger Cat II - 12
AMG G55 offbrand PowerWheels (Kid Motorz) - 5
Total: 1003MPH
I've hit these speeds in some of them. Most I haven't and probably never will, but this was a fun thought exercise.

Any 200mph + cars on here?
I know docwyte is probably close with his 996TT, maybe some of the Corvettes on here, maybe a Viper?
2009 BMW 128i - 130
2012 MINI Cooper S - 137
2001 Porsche Boxster S - 161
Total: 428
Hmmm... I'm guessing I'll be near the bottom.
94 Fordzda Branger, probably about 90 before the wind resistance of the ladder rack takes over.
67 LeMans, probably about 110, but with 55-year-old chassis bits, I try to keep it to about 55.
99 Kawasaki Vulcan with all the bags and fairings, probably about 95 if the speedo is correct (which it isn't, but I'll take the cheat).
91 Ebbtide 18, confirmed with gps, 36.
Just to try and edge me closer to imminent glory, 1976 Bolens HX14, probably about 3
That brings me to a total of 334 mph.
Now, if I still lived on the farm.... nevermind, I'd still lose. Most of those are tractors, and even though dad has two souped-up duramaxes, they are limited by gearing. Massive torque and power, but 3.73 gears and a redline at 3450 keeps them under 100 each.
