So, as some know, I'm residing out in Phoenix/Scottsdale for the next 13 weeks. I decided to venture out on my day off to a wheel manufacturer that I happen to have a complete set of wheels for the past 20 yrs. I originally purchased these from a friend of a friends website and met halfway to buy. $800 later back then and they were mine.
So, I decided to stop at the place that makes them. I needed new centercaps to replace the ones I have because well they are junk. I spoke with the owner personally and got some new caps for $30 each! Instead of the old chromed steel junk from China, I got real machined and polished aluminum. I walked in as joe blow and walked out happier than a pig in E36 M3. He said to send back my horrible looking wheels and he'd get them polished back to new.
I know they are priced well above anyone's real budget, like the minimum is $500 a wheel now, but I have to give a 5-star review to Bogart Racing Wheels here in Phoenix.
PS-I asked and 20's for my Avalanche would be $980/each. But pure billet machined in the USA....
PPS- if you remember Scott Sullivan with the "Cheese Whiz" 55 chevy that started the pro street movement, he's redoing it with a lsx instead of the bbc and rocking the same drag-on-Star 3 wheels I have.
Big word in the 70's. Bogart.

But it's the owners last name.
Some years ago I was looking for wheels for my H-Production Fiat. I found that Bogart was near-ish and stopped by just to see what they could do for a poorly funded driver. As I recall it was the owner I spoke to and he gave me a tour of the place - he sure didn't have to. As I recall he was a very nice guy and their wheels are top notch.
Nice, Bogart Racing is new to me, so thanks for putting it on my radar! I have to say I am intrigued by their "Steely Dan" wheels. I see plenty of aluminum wheels trying to masquerade as classic steelies, but these have to be the nicest ones I've seen in some time: http://bogartracingwheels.com/steely-dan/
Normally I think 18" steelies look like wagon wheels but these seem to have nice proportions in the pix on their site... very stealthy!
Very nice! It's becoming more rare that a company stands behind their products to such an extent. Glad you found one of the good ones...

Yes, those are made to take the factory cap which makes it killer. He said the 15x12 steely Dan with double beadlocks is destined for a super sleeper Malibu that is listed on their FB page....
These:
I've seen Bogart wheels in person, and they were very impressive for their light weight and quality. It's good to hear they have customer service to match.
Never seen a bad set. I took a tour there years ago. Wish I had the coin for a set.
Long story short I picked up a set of Bogarts with drag radials (bigs n littles) in Mustang bolt pattern for $175. Deal of the century, or at least of the week.
I didnt have a Mustang but my friend had a beat up 2WD Ranger. So of course the Bogarts ended up on the Ranger. Nothing like $4000 wheels and tires on a $400 truck. At least it looked the part.
As to the title of the thread, customer service on high end stuff bought by rich folk has always been top drawer. It's us low born gutter sluts that suffer.
In reply to Streetwiseguy :
I disagree. I bought a used set of wheels years ago. I could have easily been blown off or told you can't buy them because we don't make them anymore.
In reply to Ranger50 :
You got good service out of a guy that sells a high end product, because he can afford to, because his wheels earn him a wad of dough, unlike the guy making five bucks a wheel off his Chinese imports.
You bought a high end product. He doesn't know that you are just a schmuck like the rest of us.
