"Challenge Accepted" where is that damn meme interweb thing when I need it? I figure if I can parallel park a school bus, then I can surely parallel park that. I have a strange so much want right now
looks goofy. Not goofy in a good way either. Find a rolled class-8 road tractor and take this presumably good cab and make a real tow rig
Neither... If the chassis is what I think it is (GMC 1t box/bread truck), they are designed/geared for short distance deliveries, not long hwy drives. Not powerful enough to be a decent tow rig and too crappy mpg for DD use. The shorter than OE tires will just make the rpm issues worse.
Bad execution of a good idea.
Since we're talking DD or Tow Rig, I spotted this one on CL yesterday: http://greenbay.craigslist.org/cto/2973287969.html

It has a big Detroit Diesel in it.

Great. So it has a large I4 truck engine in a light truck chassis... This does not give me a warm, fuzzy feeling... I like the Centurion conversion better.
Yeah, the "freightliner" thing looks awful to me, the wheels and tires are too small and inset and the bed is really unfortunate looking. I would much rather have the Centurion thing, at least it's just regular ugly and not Gary Busey.
I fail to see the point in this thing. What's the advantage of putting it on a smaller truck chassis? And a 4-53 Detroit diesel is NOT a big diesel, it's a very small one (212 cu. in.).
Better, but the ride height is a little too backwoods rednecky and the character line in the bed needs to be smoothed out. The rear wheel wells need to be enlarged or something, it looks a bit goofy back there. I like the wheels though and the proportions are better.
