This thread is directly from the thread about the demise of Javelin's Falcon. It didn't help that I witnessed an accident almost the same as Jav described this morning.
Is there a dash cam that has front and rearward mounted camera?
This probably means a black box style storage device as well.
What does the hive know?

Don't know much about cams, but with the business you're in its a good idea for inside and outside the car IMHO.

The short answer is yes, there are. But, they generally aren't that good of quality. If possible, its better to run two of them in parallel instead.
Edit: Oh yeah, another thing to consider. Be wary ordering from Amazon. Seems like a bunch of stuff there is priced low enough that it could be counterfeit. Its kind of scary that people are counterfitting $60 cameras, but they are...
I don't know the maker but the system we have is sweet. The buses get 7+ cameras, synced to the GPS and black box. Probably not cheap but it will probably pay for itself in accident claims.

could be a system called Angel Traxx that is what we mostly have on our school buses. It is far better than the systems be previously had.

word of warning they are not cheap.
On eBay search for "dual DVR mirror" for several options as easy to install as clamping on a mirror under $120.
I would suggest two cheap car cameras and just have them record the front and back. If you search up Techmoan on YouTube, you'll find out lots of information on GRM-friendly car cameras. I would have made so many impulse purchases due to his channel if it weren't for the fact I was in college and need to save.
This is the newer version of the one I use.

It has front and rear facing cameras. I keep the rear camera aimed out the back window. With a 32 gig SD card, it will record about 2 days of video. Mine is set up to record on a loop. I'll try to post some sample video this afternoon after work.
This one has a few features mine doesn't, like g-force recording and GPS.
In reply to Toyman01:
I never knew I needed one of these until I read this thread! Toyman - where do you mount yours? Easy to swap in to various cars?
Mine is suction cupped to the middle of the windshield just above the dash. It takes about 10 seconds to pull it to move to another car. The mount came with the camera and works very well.
Video for those interested. It's from the bobcat thread. You can't see much out of the back in the Samurai because of the spare and jack. It works pretty well in cars and fair in my work van.
