My sister has a 2011 Tacoma that she bought as a CPO and has taken it to the dealer (local dealer, not where it was purchased) for almost every scheduled service. Back in March of this year she paid them $460 to replace the passenger side CV boot, and I recently looked at it and the inner clamp is flopping around on the shaft and grease is sprayed everywhere. I asked the dealer if they would take a look at it and they said no, either pay to have them redo the job or they wouldn't even touch it. Is it worth arguing about anymore? Or just fix it and take the truck elsewhere for service in the future.
Repair should be 12/12....

If you only spoke to a service advisor go to the service manager. If he says no, go to the general manager. If he says no, call Toyota USA.
The squeaky wheel usually gets the grease eventually. Sometimes you just aren't dealing with intelligent life. That shouldn't take them more than an hour to fix vs you posting on social media everywhere how their dealership sucks.
It absolutely should be warranty work. Even if it wasn’t a 1 year warranty, a good shop that wanted to keep a good customer like your sister should stand behind it.
That should be warranty by the dealer. What is the warranty on dealer provided parts?
