Can you please make the Si trim level available in the hatch in addition to the coupe and sedan?

The irony of you being first to reply is that if it's not announced before mid 2020 (and I don't expect it to happen) that I'll be getting an Element, adding a 6th gear conversion and ECamper and debating waking up the K24 a bit.

Buy a sport hatch with the Manual and have a professional install a M factory or the OEM Helical LSD.
Best shot you have at getting close to what you're asking for.
My dad has a base Civic coupe, and it’s probably the cheapest interior I’ve seen in a modern car. The buttons are pretty flimsy, and feel like those plastic puzzle games you used to get at a friends birthday party. It’s amazing to me that the SiR has the same exact buttons!
Or Audi, please bring us the cars you already make, like the RS3 hatch and RS4 avant.
Or Subaru, no, we really DO want a STi hatchback.
There was a Robot Chicken sketch where they cut away to a live-action scene of someone watching the show, and this person got upset at something the RC guys wrote, so he angrily went to his laptop to write a letter. "Dear Assfaces..."
I heard the thread title in his voice.
Dear Honda,
If my job changes and I don't need a big gas-guzzling Silverado to deliver E36 M3 to customers I am heading down to Indianapolis and buying a new Honda Accord Sport 2.0T with a 6-speed manual transmission in white or red from Penske Honda. I am almost 57 years old and love the Type R but being a big guy I fit better into an Accord and I need to "look" more mature. With the 2.0T kicking out 252hp and 276 ft/lbs and owning a previous Accord I am drawn in like a moth to a flame.
I have been a diehard Nissan fan but they can pound sand as I need a manual tranny and for a work car with a requirement of four doors and 6 years of newer? This fits the requirement except for getting a reel of air hose into the trunk.
Also, I am going to make a big deal about buying from Penske - "where's Roger"?

On that note, with one exception, every CTR I have seen on the road had a driver with noticably white hair.
Who do they think is going to have $50k to spend on a Civic? It's not the people who are impressed by something that looks like a 14 year old drew it during recess.
The same "cotton top" stereotype exists for the Golf R as well, but at least the Golf R looks like something an adult would willingly drive.
How about an Accord type R? Or Fit Si? We know Honda has the architecture to build some pretty impressive performance machines, it’s just disappointing that it’s almost exclusive to the civic.

They sell a fit si in other markets. It still makes less power than ours.
Throw a diff and tune the hatch and you’re golden. I saw a review a while back about a tune for the 1.5 that actually gave it more power and torque than the Si. Carb legal too!
I made mental note of this because my wife and I both like the car and I can’t leave anything alone.

Do Honda’s wheels suck on their cars or is it just me?
In reply to penultimeta :
I’m in - the Accord 2.0T tuners are already upgrading to the CTR turbo and Hondata already has software tweaks so Honda can easily make an ATR.
Then why not spend another $6,000 and get the G70 4 cylinder turbo, 6-speed, rear wheel drive over at Hyundai? Brembos, LSD, IRS, dual exhaust....
Yeah the Sport hatch sounds pretty impressive, so I can imagine a tune and diff would make it great. It is odd that they offer the CTR in hatch only guise, but only offer the Si in a sedan.
My addition to this "Dear Honda" is that they make something that is easier on the eyes. I see so many of these Civics on the road and the looks make my stomach hurt, literally.
The Accord is much better looking, even if it's still not great from the back and rear 3/4 view. I've heard the brakes feel really weird on them, but that was one auto "journalist" so I take it with a grain.
