The ad: dual dellorto drla 48's on an Esslinger Ford 2300 (ranger-pinto) manifold,k@n aircleaners, spare venturies, jets, ect.

$450

My questions: I have a stock 2.3L with the stock weber in my capri, would these carbs be overkill? Are they finnicky? Are parts available? I love this kind of carb setups but the guys asking price is a little high. Any thoughts?

that price is a bit high...unfortunately that is exactly what I am looking for for my SOLO car...it is not to be...yet.

The stock cast iron manifold and stock holley 5200 (weber 32/36 DGV)

At least I think the manifold is cast iron...

That's actually not a bad price. A new set of 40 DHLA's (9sidedraft) and manifold for a 907 Lotus is ~$1200.00. The problem: the setup you are looking at is for WOT high RPM operation and will not work well without a lot of cam, big open exhaust, lots of compression etc. Not real great for around town driving or any type of driving which will require low end finesse.

Thats the information I was looking for, thanks Jensenman. I'm not quite at the point with my Capri's engine for those carbs, from your description. They sure would look good though.
