Bought a pro style (style being the optimum word) and the tabs are breaking. Got it off amazon. This it the kind where you can use the hand puller or a slide hammer style. The tabs are one piece plastic. I like the concept but not the crappy product. Any one have experience with a quality product?

Not sure about that specific puller. I threaded a cheapo puller to hold a locking plier. The puller threads on where the tension screw was.
Next I tack short lengths of welding filler to the dent or a flat washer. Clamp on then pull. It could work with solder probably if you can't weld or whatever.
This isn't the threaded puller. It's the more common type with the nubs. It's the nubs that break off.
Is this some kind of PDR kit? I'm guessing the tabs you're talking about are the little glue on anchors? A link to the product might help.
If it's a PDR kit, they're not designed to take much abuse. PDR is largely about suggestion strategy and witchcraft.
Essentially, if you're breaking PDR anchors, you're probably being too aggressive.

Yup-picked up one a few months' back. Problem is, those little plastic pieces don't line up with the hand tool. I had to make extra rubber platforms for the base of the hand tool in order for the pull mechanism to work.
Once done though, it actually pulled the dents out. I had to be careful with dents that may have lost paint in the center. The glue would end up popping off with a piece of paint!
That's pretty cool. It almost makes me wish I had some dents to use it on.

I bought a very similar kit off Amazon with aluminum tabs. Now, I haven't actually used it yet, but it should be stronger in theory.
Any link to the aluminum tab ones??
Are you breaking them with the T-handle or what? Any sharp jerks, or off axis pulling could be causing the problem. Working slow and incrementally usually yeilds the best results anyway. Even with ye olde stud welder, you rarely ever actually use the slide hammer. Mostly you give it a steady pull while tapping with a polished body hammer on the crown along the perimeter of the dent until it pops.
You may have just got a batch of extra Chinesium anchors too.
