Basically a race truck (I'm thinking twin-cab pickup body style) given the ZAV body treatment and with biodiesel/veg. oil burning capability and onboard water storage (starting to sound like an expedition truck now). I think I'd have to put tweels on it to deal with cowboy bullets or dinosaur bites. 4WS is always good for getting your ass out of trouble in a hurry. Closed cabin w/ AC because comfort is important.
I'm thinking pre-car era . Any fuel, go anywhere, reliable... It's not a car at all...

Of course with this you'd wipe out your whole family tree with one shot.

I'm just going to go with how they explained away the new Star Trek movie, alternate time line and such
No cops? No Speed Limits? No other cars to worry about? Not many people to run over? The choice is obvious:
I'd of course opt for the 1200+ HP, mid-mount V-12 Diesel version.
I've always wanted to take my Toyota 4x4 back in time and take part in something like the original "Peking to Paris" Rally.
I wonder if Italy's racing colors would still be red if their Italia had come in 2nd in that one
(because of course I would win)
Edit: of course I've also wanted to go back to the prohibition and run "shine" in something like a 2nd gen RX-7. The advantage being the ability to "turn". (tires and parts would be a bit difficult though)

I've thought about this. An Impreza would be an ideal 'shine runner but there would be little to no challenge outrunning cars of the era.
