Nissan Sentra Cup. Wonder if they're stick or flappy paddle...
6-speed manual transmission. Info here..The Race Car | Sentra Cup | Nissan Canada......You can still buy manual transmission vehicles in Canada.
I have been following this series for awhile. Originally the Micra cup, Nissan discontinued the support for it so it became the Sentra Cup. 6 speed manual.
Ha, I was invited to check out the series when it visits Lime Rock next month, but things fell through.
The Micra Cup cars were cheap cheap cheap from what I recall. The base car was actually under $10k CAD before the race parts were added.
Canada has some history of one-marque series. The Michelin / Honda series ran from 1975 to 1992. There was also a Rothmans Porsche Cup in the 80s using 944s and 944 Turbos.
Spec series like the Sentra Cup sound like a lot of fun for both driver and spectator. Bummer that David's plans fell through.

....and the Player's GM series.......race weekends at Mosport in the early 80s were a lot of fun. The spec series provided most of it.

I actually have a crew shirt from the Rothmans Porsche series - my uncle was involved in the promotion. Also went to a 24h race at Mosport in the 80s that was all showroom stock and the Porsches. I remember a Volvo 740 wagon duelling with 944s :)
Lots of those old races are available on youtube including the 944 series. Some crazy action to watch, different times.
We have 3 or 4 micra cup cars run in our lucky dog series,no power but they are pretty decent handlers.
Those Micras are getting cheap now too - like they should be. I drove one before I bought the Spark. It could have been a bad example, but it was exceptionally gutless and boring.
In reply to Peabody :
A pack of identical cars going 3 wide into a corner makes up for a lot of boring :)
