There's another thread in the advertiser playground, but David wanted to be sure that everybody and their sister heard about our new KW Suspension contest.

You can win a set of KW Variant 3 coilovers free just by entering at the link below. Why? Because we love you!

For cereal KW, there is this place north of the USA that has a whole bunch of motorsports enthusiasts that LOVE your products, but we can't be part of the contest?!

The make everything from the Variant 1-3s and the Club Sports for the E30 I believe.

I want them for my Speed 3! Although I don't see an option for the 2010s.

If stuff is going to be posted here and in the playground, do we really need to have the playground?

Perhaps you say that in the hopes less people enter the contest, improving the odds for those remaining? Very clever!

Dunno, I for one wouldn't have seen this, there's not really enough traffic there yet for me to regularly check it like GRM or Offtopic.

We love you too. So these don't count towards the challenge budget, right?

Since the KW contest is kinda big news and a nice perk, I asked that it be posted here, too.

unfortunate that this contest is for 18+ year olds, I really wouldn't mind these coilovers for Sparky even though that would definitely take me out of stock...

I am going to join Adam in my continuing process of protesting the fact that ALL of your contests exclude your Canadian SUBSCRIBERS!

The plan is for the Advertiser playground to be a little more direct interaction between actual advertisers and readers. More and more of these folks are getting a huge online social presence (Saferacer has a huge Facebook presence, for example) ans we thought it would be nice as a service to all of our customers (both advertisers and readers) to find another way to break down the walls between them.

It'll probably take a few months to get going properly, and we also broke it out because we didn't want the regular threads hiding these messages, many of which will be contests and such.

By the way, if you have a specific question for ANY advertiser in the magazine, that's the place to post it. Even if you've never seen them post before. What will usually happen is that their ad rep will give them a call and let them know someone has a question on our board (oh, and he might try to renew their contract at the same time, but that between the two of them). Anyway, one of out missions is to build a bridge between the people who want to modify their cars and the people who build and sell the stuff to modify those cars. We see this forum as another plank on that bridge. It may be one that gets built slowly, but it's comin' along as folks figure it out.

And as for the Canadian thing, don't blame us, blame the US Government. Apparently the laws governing sweepstakes and contests get exponentially more complex when those contests cross international borders. If I were a Canadian citizen, I might either get a US friend to register for me, or register using that US friend's address, or somehow use a US address and hope for the best. You DID NOT hear any of that from me, however, as I really don't know if it would work. I'm just telling you how I'd attempt (as a private citizen—not an employee of the magazine) to circumvent it.

Since I'm on the boards ummm...a LOT...I've gotten very used to the "Latest Posts" button. It's the only way I can even hope to keep up.

Really? The KW site only shows the V1 and V2 options. No V3 or Clubsport. My Jetta only shows the Clubsport option... of course, I wasn't able to find anything on the website that really tells you what the Clubsport is. I really wish manufacturers would put up sites that were less about looking pretty and more about giving useful information.

FWIW, I learned about the giveaway through an e-mail notification.

Ian, hmmm maybe my memory fails me then!

JG, have informed Jay at Ground Control of the Ad Playground. I know he has been a huge help to many people and helped me spec out my entire suspension for my swapped E30.
