Did you know about the missing track at Lime Rock Park?

Looks like it could have been fun.

It would've been spectacular running up into the hill off the end of the front straight.

That would have been incredible!

Depending upon the time of year, you can kind of make out where those missing turns were at the base of the mountain. It's obvious that trees were removed at some point, long ago.
 

I've always wanted to hike through there someday and take a closer look at what's still there. 

The Apalachian Trail is up on that hill off Turn 1.

I wonder though, if the locals can implement sound restrictions and no racing on Sunday, how would it be with that hill side acting as a big speaker?
