A little bit of the back story first.  Locally, we're getting flooded with pollen.  Not sure what it's from, but every day my Miata comes home looking like a tennis ball, covered in yellow/green fuzz.  When I have time, I roll out the hose and wash it down, but need a way to do a quick clean in between.  So far, the two products I've tried, one from Turtle Wax and one from RainX, both have the same problem.  They both allow me to wipe the car down without scratching the paint and allow the rags to pick up the pollen, which is good, but both leave a "marbled" look on the paint which doesn't really buff out.  It's almost a "greasy" looking.  So, know of anything that works?

I don't have any personal experience with it but AMMO NYC just came out with a waterless wash. He gets all excited about it but he does that with everything. I'm sure it's expensive.

I’m an occasional user of Griots Garage’s waterless wash and it seems to work pretty well. I usually go to one of the self service pressure washes to rinse off the worst of the dirt if the car isn’t halfway clean, though.

I like Griot’s, I need to order some but I remember high shipping costs. What you want is one of those yarn broom like detailing brushes that pick up dust.

California car duster. I believe thats the commercial name for it. I have one. works great for pollen. not so much for shiny happy person cat paw prints.

I’ve been mostly happy with the Aero Cosmetics kit from Amazon, about $38 for everything you need to last a good while.

California duster + Griot's waterless wash.  The downside of the waterless wash is you go through a TON of the towels.

If you have space to do waterless wash, why not just do the bucket method? It's easily doable even with a couple gallons of water from walmart etc.

Do a google for "Junkman 2 bucket wash"

I have a California car duster and it does a good job with pollen. However over time you will put micro scratches in the finish. I've stopped using it.

I don't like waterless washes personally so I just hose them down and dry them using either a quick wax or quick detailer sprayed on the wet car before drying with a plush microfiber drying towel. Takes all of five minutes, seven if I roll the hose back up when I'm done.

Years ago I casually sold “Dry wash n guard”. It worked for me. When I bought my black 94 cobra new I compared other waxes/ polishes and nothing was better IMO. I constantly got compliments of how good it looked for black.  It’s still all I use and since I still have several bottles, I won’t be buying anything else for awhile.
