The Volk Racing TE37, alongside wheels like the Enkei RPF1 and the RS Watanabe Eight Spoke, is an icon of the tuning scene.

They work aesthetically on just about any vehicle, but would they look good on a full-size pickup truck? If you ask Russell McMullan, he'd likely say yes.

But don't just take his word for it. Check out his …

I generally dislike the TE37, but they look good on all those trucks. Maybe it makes a better truck than car wheel? I also get weird about the number of lugs relating to the number of spokes.

At 9.8lbs they feel great on my CRX and MSM Miata. They don't look as good as the Racing Harts I used to rock, or my Blitz Type 01 or Type 03 I had on them.

However, these days Tacomas and FJ Cruisers all rocking TE37s.

I agree with the title. TE37's don't look good on anything at all. The way the spokes jut out past the rim lip then fold back in is a travesty to design. Six-spoke designs without split spokes (like the RPF1) look bad in general, too. I do not get the love for this wheel at all.

Also Watanabe's are a cheap imitation of Minilites. Come at me bro!

TE37s are highly dependent on offset for how they look. If they have a high positive offset and/or too large of a diameter, they tend to look not so good. But a low positive, or a negative offset makes them look much better. The V variant, TE37V, always looks good though,

One of our local wheel builder cuts them apart to make ultra deep TE37 three pieces that I adore.

He runs them on his Van.

The spokes would hit the fork.

TE37's look best on period correct wheels.

Those photos are from an official Volk event, so they're all the real deal. They actually came out with a truck specific wheel.

Agreed. I can't imagine dropping that much on wheels.

I respect you a lot but everything you wrote here is completely backwards and wrong.  Especially about the RFP1.

If I ever make berkeley you money, I'll put a set on my c5. Being a Japanese car nerd from the 90's, the TE37 has been my wet dream wheel for a few decades.

Minilites came out in 1961, Watanabe's in 1968.

Also the RPF1 is ugly, just not TE37 ugly.

While they may indeed be Volks, they are not TE37's. The truck wheels like on that 4Runner are a different design and number.
