I just read where the 2010 Dodges have a new invention to save gas. When coasting in gear with the throttle closed it turns off the injectors.

My 2002 Liberty has that already, so does my 2000 ZX2/SR.

They had that back in the 80's, My grandmothers Caravelle would shut off the injectors and save fuel two, sometimes three times a week.

DFCO - Deceleration Fuel Cut Off...been around for a long time.

The E30 used to do that, but only when starting.

yes.. most injected cars shut down the injectors when coasting in gear. Towards the end of the carb age.. some of them did it too
