Looking for a small length of some roll cage tubing to build a harness bar for my rabbit. Wondering where you guys may have found the best deals?

thanks!

onlinemetals.com has always come through for me.

EDIT:

tubularsteel.com has all sorts of DOM tubing as well. Lucky for me they have a store in Savannah, GA.

Yeah, be careful of the ERW thing. I honestly think some people out there just don't understand the difference. I had a roll bar which came out of a 3rd gen RX7 and on the underside of the harness bar splits were starting.

I went to a dirt track chassis maker in Bumfuq, OK. I think I paid around a buck a foot for 1-3/4" DOM, plus bending. I think it was 095 wall, but I'd have to look. Total for this roll bar:

was like $85 for materials, two bends, 4 fishmouths. I took the pieces home and welded it up. That was about 1.5 years ago, and metal prices have gone up since, but that price was cheaper than other Locost manufacturers can get the raw materials for, much less having them bent/fishmouthed.

IIRC, most circle track guys will try to sell you ERW.

The place I went to had DOM for roll bar applications. You just have to specify what you want or, like I did, bring the rule book copy and show them.

www.shapirosupply.com although their website sucks for any useful info.

Oh... and at a buck a foot for DOM, that shop'll be going under VERY soon ;) I haven't seen "a buck anything" a foot in about 5 years
