We just saw FF9 and I was intrigued by Dom's Wide Bodied, Mid Engined Charger.  Has that been discussed on here?

It was interesting to see all the different versions in the film, that you weren't supposed to realize were not the real thing.

I haven't been able to bring up any specs on it, but I'm guessing Hellcat engine?  Dang but that would be loud inside!!!

It was an interesting concept and while it still has a ton (or 2 or 3) of mass, conceptually it was cool.

Yes I know there's a FF9 thread on Off Topic, but that thread is to blast the reality of the show not talk about the good part.

Not a fan of the wheel arches. Were they going for aero? Because the baleen whale nose says otherwise.

I call shenanigans! That's a 68 and Dom's car is a 70.

If only the fenders were more... normal. Or at least least, well, whatever they are. Cuz it's otherwise freaking cool.

Haven't seen F9, and probably won't, but love this concept.

Obviously that's not the car in the  movie because the shifter doesn't have enough gears!!!

I would still like to see it naked.

The car, not Dom!!

I hate none of this.  I'd like to think I would build like this if I had money.

I wonder if the same production team worked on the new batmobile

It is interesting how they keep evolving the car.  Looks like an entertaining drive.

I have to say though, there is almost nothing Charger left in that car.

In that first shot the rear fender is starting to look 1st gen Camaro

The shifter is fine... they'll just add lots of soundtrack!

Is Dynacorn or someone similar making replica Charger bodies yet?  At this rate the entertainment industry probably needs a supply of fresh sheetmetel to hack up for projects like this.

What is under the hood?  Having owned a '68 Charger, I have to say I'd rather have an original '68 than this car.  I'm sure it cost a bunch to create, and I can appreciate the workmanship, but it doesn't do a thing for me.  I won't see F9 and having studiously avoided any of the F1-8, I see no reason to start now.

Anyways been done before, see the "Hemi Under Glass" cars from the 60s

Wonder if it's the whole rear drivetrain/axles from a Lambo?  Could explain the reason for the rear width + it's fast and furious

With the aero fenders,  a Dayona would have fit the exotic chassis better in my mind.

I think the wheels they used look excellent, agreed on the fender & wheel wells not looking so great, and I keep thinking that Charger 500's look better than the regular production run Chargers.

Let's just say that this is the first charger other than the Superbird that gets my juices flowing. usually I see them and think: "Just another overstuffed muscle car". This is overstuffed too, but in all the right ways.

They didn't go full-on Daytona, but can we find a little Charger 500 influence in the rear window treatment?

Agreed on Charger 500 style rear window although this one is taller vs. the 500's.  I actually like this one more.
