Somebody watched my 24-second pass where the LS 350Z’s shifter came off in my hand on the 1-2 shift. Oops! I did most of the pass in neutral.
I found a bolt that engaged more than 1.5 threads (no wonder it came off), put it back together, and am ready for another shot!

That’s 11 seconds faster than my 35 second pass in the Datsun last year when I exploded both rear half shafts on launch

So the parking lot being repaved is an elaborate roose to save face? ;)
The way I see it this was a win. I was only under power for like 60 feet, but I still beat some Challenge times.

Aww c'mon Tom. The first time this happened to me was when I was driving my first homecoming date to homecoming giving my mom's BMW everything it had merging onto the highway.

Don't try to one up a one upper.
I was there in the Black Camaro with the pink hockey sticks (borrowed car), but never got the chance to catch up with the GRM gang. It seems we were in different run groups.
