Too bad it is on the otherr side of the country. It would be perfect for CDC autocrosses since they don't have classes. Everything is indexed based on your times.

Man, that is some sort of cool. I wonder too how it got classed as E Mod? Maybe nobody could figure out just where to class the thing...
Adrian_Thompson wrote: Love it, but how is it EMOD legal? I thought the engine had to be at the same end of the car as the original?
Let alone Engine manufacturor has to be the same IIRC.........my bmw would only be legal for X-prepared if I changed the engine to a different manufacturor....
When did that change? My Ford powered RX7 went into E-Mod when I ran it SCCA. I seem to recall the champion E-mod cars when I was running were Ford and rotary powered Spridgets.

Uh, no? Kiesel won E-Mod this year in a Mazda Rotary powered Bugeye Sprite...
wait, are mod classes open to this? When I asked around if a lsx powered bmw would be legal for autox, the powers that be quoted rulebook and said it'd be X-prepared. My bad, wrong info.
Street Mod - engine has to be the same manufacturere.
I don't know E Mod rules, but I know some of the cars. They're pretty significant builds and I know they do a lot. For sure, engines from other makes. Engine location? Dunno. I'd have to look it up.
In reply to fast_eddie_72:
IIRC, the GRM article on Kiesel's Sprite talked about how far back the motor sat, and the E-Mod Jeep (also in GRM) was the same. Granted, neither were all the way in the ass of the car!

They were right, you can go to EM. Though, be prepared for a HUGE beating! XP would be a nicer playground.
