In reply to Fletch1:

I actually started to reply for someone else, but decided it had stuff everyone would enjoy so I changed it into a reply to the orignial thread. You're cool in my book. I saw the video elsewhere too, glad it got to GRM.

The sad thing about the video is how the guy in the Mazda was excited to see the 335i and then the guy turns out to be an asshat. It is like a sports hero spitting on you. When you see a cool car you really hope the guy is down to earth and fun, if he is an ass it just deflates the fun for you.

I wonder if the guy in the BMW knows he's an internet sensation yet? And if he does, how's he feel about it?

I used to be a BMWCCA member, and the letters in Roundel every month made me laugh every time. The ones that write in are beyond anal. I've never witnessed people like that in most of the other clubs I've been in, including the PCA. Most of the normal people are just that, normal, but it had more stereotypes than I've ever seen.

A funny story. I was delivering a 500hp Supra for a friend to a client out of state, and his exact words were to get max boost several times during the trip to make sure everything was still correct (he was following in another car for the return trip). Anyway, your average asshat in an M5 decided he had to play. I tried to ignore him but he damn near ran me over several times. Anyway, even though I shouldn't post this here, the Supra barely broke a sweat while the M5 was hammering it hard. I would let him get a little closer and then just pull away. Such fun! I pulled many many car lengths on him with total ease and he went berserk at the next light.

I guess he thought since he had a BMW I should have simply let him have it out of default. He had the BMW hat and everything!

*by the way kids, I don't condone this behavior on the street!

You know, I race with lots of guys who have BMWs and most of them are actually pretty decent people. But I see this clip and somewhere deep inside I think "I always figured that's what BMW owners were like."

And just so people don't think it's personal, I drive a Camaro. Even though I don't have a mullet or cook meth, damned if it looks as if I'm the only F-body owner here in TN who doesn't.

Does this make me an asshat-cock-redneck? I alternate between a BMW and a Pickemup

You really don't care if you make it to your destination?

HAHAHA

(the reason I am between a BMW and Tundra is because I would rather let the SAAB sit)

I thought that was "Porsche and a porcupine" or "cactus and a Corvette"

The guy was in the wrong Mazda. This is clearly an instance for gentlemanly pass at full throttle by a rotary with worn seals & rotted exhaust, whilst Mr. Bimmer is standing outside his car to experience the event to it's fullest. Breathe deep, it's 20w50.

i lawl'd.

Also, in my experience, the best way to handle someone stopping in the middle of the road in front of you and getting out of their car, is either:

A: Open your door, and reach into your glove box screaming "Get back in the car berkeley stick! Get back in the berkeleying car."

or

B: (Not in my experience, but DAMN it'd be awesome,) run that mother berkeleyer over, pull over, and immediately call the cops.

a bmw 335i is like a sports star. not in D.C. those things are dime a dozen, M3s also, just the occasional M5. Oh yeah, and sports stars don't spit on you, they get they buddies to do it - yes Shaq, teach your boy some manners please.
