Am I missing something here? Just seems like an odd ad campaign. Says nothing about the car...........or maybe it's just Chrysler/Fiat as the Fiat 500 commercials are pretty strange too. Hmmmmm.

It's an interesting ad to say, "buy a Dodge Dart". They're trying to appeal to your emotions, not your logic.
i saw one with a broken tie rod or ball joint(wheel turned sideways) on the side of the highway friday. not sure if it speaks to the quality of the car or the quality of our roads.

But don't you want to free your right hand?
Yeck.
I despise car commercials that highlight the infotainment system and say nothing about the car, but I am irrelevant to advertisers since I like manual transmissions and don't own a smartphone.
They are safe...After the last 2 experiences with modern Chrysler products, I won't have my hands on a dart for a long time.

Roads. (I lived in Cleveland.)
It's dumb, but nearly as annoying as the Infiniti Q(50?) one where the guys is spacing out all over the road and has to be constantly saved by his lane-departure, automatic braking, and other electronic nannies from smashing into other cars.
Is Infiniti simply trying to market to idiots who don't know how to drive?

Out where I live there are a couple streets I refuse to drive down. Some of them could take out a HMMV. Heck there is one spot I know of where the asphalt has a hole at least 3 feet across and 6 inches deep with a manhole (still at normal street level) in the middle of it.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!!! This is about the dumbest ad I have ever seen for a car. Not only does it show a guy driving who's paying zero attention to driving only to have the safety features save him...the ad then says something like "The Infiniti Q50....it protects you and allows you to focus on driving" WTF???
I'm actually not opposed to the safety features on the car. Even the best drivers in the world make judgement errors or have circumstances out of their control. However, they should be promoted along with safe driving habits. Infiniti is showing you can ignore your responsibility behind the wheel. Imagine if they had that ad with a tropy wife putting on makeup and talking on her cell phone, instead of a middle age man in a suit...
I agree about the Q50 ad is terrible. If I may contribute my current "annoying ad" The Honda Fit. Just irksome.

See, I think the FIAT ads are hilarious. Disturbing, but hilarious.

Hey, it's not a niche market. Spend your money reaching your majority audience.
