My girlfriend just got on my case for double dipping. No not chips. For watching the red bull ralley cross and reading the grm forum at the same time.
Any one else have similar issues.

My wife usually has the laptop open and her phone doing some sort of thing while watching a show.
I'm more of a one-thing-at-a-time kind of codger.

She should by happy you sat there while she watched that. That's one of the shows my wife watches when I'm at work so she doesn't get my commentary on the story.
I am guilty of this reading GRM Forum while SWMBO watches whatever on TV with me. I am not a fan of commercials so I read as we watch. SWMBO on the other hand does not enjoy my reading... it's a point of contention.

No, because I was watching GRC on TV and Sprint Cup on my computer. Oh yeah, my wife is 5 states away right now.
Yep. I used to get hassled for that all the time - if it was a show I wanted to watch. Never mind the fact her laptop was firmly planted on her lap while she watched TV, regardless of what was on...

I once had a GF that had that same attitude … I truly couldn't understand the problem … it wasn't like she needed my commentary or critique after the show … I was there with her … she knew damn good-n-well that I really wasn't interested in the show … but wasn't going to make a fuss about it being on ….
leave me alone to read and I'll leave you alone to watch

BTDT. Apparently they get mad if you pretend to watch their shows. Who knew
Seeing the title, I was hoping this thread was going to be from Curtis because I figured it would then mean something completely different.
I refuse to multitask. I am willing to sit on the couch AND watch TV, but that's where I draw the line.
Some shows need my input. I provide interesting insight during Sister Wives and Blue Bloods, but apparently I make The Good Wife unwatchable.

You were only doing two things?
Right now I am eating, reading GRM, looking up wiring information regarding the instrument cluster on my car, and I think I'm slacking off...
last time I double dipped.. I was working at one Casino while still getting paid from another (thank you for 4 hour minimums)
I guess I should count myself lucky in the wife department, since we have no idea what The Good Wife is. Over the weekend we watched Friday the 13th parts I-III, and also Battle of Los Angeles. And we were both on our phones intermittently, particularly during commercials.
Btw, The Good Wife is better than the title would suggest.
Personally I LOVE the one-upsmanship in and out of the courtroom and politics. It's way more cutthroat and competitive than most ôther shows of this genre.
Ok, we can talk about Miatas and LS motors now!
We only watch things together we both like. If she's not interested in my show or vice versa one of us leaves to do something else. But I ALWAYS have either my tablet or phone when I'm watching things these days. So does my daughter. The spousal unit is incapable of fathoming this, but I'm hooked. What else has this actress appeared in? When was it made?, did those two appear in something else together? Where was it filmed? What's that car? I'm always checking that stuff, and surfing GRM, e-mail, F1 sites, Retro-Rides etc.
I dont' watch Longmire, despite Katee Sackhof, or Long Island Medium. She wont watch Alias, BSG, Miami Vice, Ashes to Ashes etc. That's fine with each other.
