Yeah, LayOut truly, deeply sucks. And if you can find a version of SketchUp 2016, it still has the geolocate feature as far as I know.

Sketchup was way too involved. . I really like FloorPlanner.com it is FREE. great for floor plans, has accurate measurements, and drag/drop items. The 3-D view is nice too.
