Track is sticky... nobody better step on the track or you are losing shoes and socks.
Whitaker runs a 9.86.
I saw a red corvette, c6 maybe, turbos out of the front bumper cover and towing a gear trailer today in ormond on their way to orlando. Sounded and looked great but i couldnt get a pic.
i did get a pic of this guy.
I gotta give Matt Moore a shoutout for running an absolutely stout 4.60 1/8th mile in Rowdy Radial. He coasted to a 7.80 1/4.... This is on a 26x8.5 slick, why they run to the 1/8th only....
4.60 is an extrapolated 7.2 1/4....
Jeff Lutz is out after hammering the rod bearings at SGMP trying to keep up with a lil ole radial car. This is after doing rings in Gainesville the day before prior to the drive.
Matt Lamphier did an engine swap with a stock gen 4 LS 5.3 to make SGMP and break the beams for a 20.00. He can still finish and say they completed the week.

That's some dedication. Respect.

They did an interview at SGMP with him and they basically hadn't slept but for a hr in the previous 36... They started the drive at 4am, hit the checkpoints in daylight and rolled into the lane at 1(?).... they were going to find some shade and nap until having to make the 270 mile trip back to Orlando from Adel/Valdosta.
Kevin Smith in SoccerMom almost kisses the wall at the 1/8th mile after what looks like a head gasket failure on the drivers side. Did not hit the other car either. Everyone needs a beer for the nerves afterwards.

Stolen from my photography buddy Damon@e3xtreme..
Since its the last day and there's no more travel ahead, I wonder how long they keep the track open, like do they keep things going after the sun sets?
